yes – everything correct here. With local knowledge you could add English names. name:en or int_name. They would take preference over the German name.

depends which editor you are using. With ID editor on osm.org – once you select an object just copy the URL.

Cam you please provide me with a specific link from ism object. It should be first the intl key, then en, then German by preference for the English language map.
Maybe those are intl? Or intl and en are missing?

But that means inside Basecamp, on your device just activate both map and contours. I had messed up the contours for mac osx OpenMTBMap from Sunday to Tuesday or so (if no separate download) before I noticed my mistake.

The gmapsupp.img downloads never include contourlines – I do that so it’s possible to chose no contours, 10m or 20m plus save time on updates (both for the user as on my server). you would need to use gmaptool (only on windows) to merge if you don’t want to use PC/OSx version and export/use directly.

For no i go with the direct sd-card version for the gps as i plan mostly with komoot and nearly never use basecamp anymore…
