I spend a lot of time working on the maps, working on this homepage and working on the OSM wiki/forums in order so that everyone can enjoy nice maps for mountainbiking.
If you want to support me in doing that, then please donate to motivate me to continue developing.
You Get in Return (as a member):

- Single map of Europe including contourlines of complete Europe

How to donate:
You can pay via Paypal or via bank transfer. If you want to receive a membership, I prefer to receive payments via Paypal // Credit Card (though if you don't want to pay via credit card or paypal, you can also donate via bank transfer). If you already have a lifelong membership, or just want to support Openmtbmap.org without getting a membership login, then I prefer payments via bank transfer as this saves the ~5% Paypal commission (feel free to donate via paypal if that is easier for you however).
If you have no membership yet, but donated €20 or more before May 2011 contact me by mail, so I can setup your account.
Note: The login only works for either Openmtbmap or Velomap, but the premium downloads are always available on both sites. You can still post comments/questions specific to Velomap in the Velomap section on Openmtbmap and vice versa (this is due to both websites having different databases. People who donate 50€ or more, may email me and I manually copy the login to both sites.)

After payment you get a link sent by mail which enables you to create an account on VeloMap.org.
With this account you can access the premium sections/downloads and you can use the reply function on all pages, I'll try to answer all questions. If you don't receive an email for login within 5 minutes after sending the payment, please look into your Spam folder.
Donate 20 € for 1 year Membership
Standard: First year support for €20, then € 10 for each year. (you can cancel the payment whenever you like) (needs a credit card linked to your Paypal Account. – use the other options if you have no credit card)
Donate a variable Amount
Please use the same email for registering on velomap.org that you use for paypal (else I have problems to identify your account and upgrade it if you donate more than 20€). No credit card needed.
Donate via Bank transfer
I prefer to receive donations for Memberships via Paypal because it is easier for me to handle them. For donations not related to a membership, or for people who do not want to pay via Paypal/Credit Card, I have opened up a bank account (which also drops the ~5% paypal commission)
In case you want to receive a membership please wire the money, and send me an email with your requested Username& Password and your Name. (note as it usually takes 2 working days for the money to be credited to the bank account I will send you your login data 2-4 days later). You can also put your Username and your email into the reference text (replace "@" with "AT" as @ is not allowed on the reference form), this makes it easier for me. Please also put "velo" into the reference text, else I create the account on openmtbmap.org. (if you don't receive an account within 5 working days, drop me a mail (see my email address on the disclaimer).
20€ gets you 1 year, 30€ 2 years, 40€ 3 years, 50€ 5 years (every 10€ more, on year plus), 100€ or more lifelong (as long as I run VeloMap.org) Membership Access.

Ich benutze die Europakarte und möchte auch die Contourlinien dazu benutzen. Wie mache ich dass? Gibt es ein einfache Weise das zu tun?
Ich habe es eher schon mit die Länderkarten gemacht aber mit die Europakarte geht es so nicht oder gar nicht so einfach.

Geht nicht. Eine Europakarte inkl. Konturlinien kommt aber hoffentlich innerhalb 48h online. Die Openmtbmap Europakarte ist schon inkl. Konturlinien online.

Die Europakarte (openmtbmap) sollte wieder online sein. Hab sie Gestern geupdated – war evtl einen Tag offline dazwischen. Velomap update ich in ein paar Tagen (Europakarte).
Ich komme schon zur Seite der Kartendowenlods aber es wird bei der Europakarte als gesammtes immer wieder eine Donation verlangt?
Welcher Browser? Welches OS. Also du kommst auf die von mir verlinkte Seite des Europakartendownloads (also nicht die Seite wo die anderen Länder liegen), und DORT kommt nochmal die Nachfrage nach einer Donation?? Probier mal einen anderen Browser (Chrome oder Firefox in aktuellster Version sind mit WordPress am stabilsten, und Cookies dürfen für openmtbmap.org nicht gesperrt werden, das würde man allerdings daran erkennen, dass du dich nach schließen des Browsers neu einloggen musst).
Bekommst du auf der normalen Downloadseite (openmtbmap.org/download) direkt zu den Länderkartendownloads, oder zuerst noch die Donation Frage?
Habe nun den Zugang kann jedoch noch immer die Europakarte nicht herunterlden wo liegt das Problem

ich nutze Velomap-Karten schon eine Weile und bin einschließlich Routing sehr zufrieden. Hilfreich wäre es allerdings, wenn man unter Finden (mein Gerät Garmin eTrex Legend HCx) nach Straßennamen in der Nähe suchen könnte. Das wäre z.B. gut, wenn man ein Quartier vereinbart hat, in dem Ort ist und sich dann schnell dorthin routen lassen möchte. Vielleicht geht das auch und ich habe es bis jetzt nicht gefunden!?

Nein, das geht nicht, weil Garmin es nicht unterstützt. Die Straßen als POI einbinden, führt dagegen nur zu zig Crashes, ist also auch keine vernünftige Lösung. Wenn man die Karten mit Mapsource/Basecamp ans GPS schickt, hat man eh eine mehr oder weniger benutzbare Addresssuche.

Gestorben ist das Forum noch nicht, aber ich bekomme es derzeit irgendwie nicht wirklich nutzbar hin. Werde es aber nochmal versuchen.

Respekt für deine Arbeit. Das Routing funktioniert, mal abgesehen von den datenbedingten Unzulänglichkeiten prima.
Da bin ich gerne bereit dich zu unterstützen.
Einziger Wehrmutstropfen in meinen Augen: Das Layout der Karte. Sicher übersichtlich, aber mein Auge ist doch eher die topografischen oder Generalkarten gewöhnt. Letztens bin ich über die openfietsmap gestolpert und muss sagen das diese Darstellung mir gelungener erscheint. Allein das TYP-File übernehmen geht nicht ohne weiteres. Aber schön sind die Karten der Niederländer schon, auch auf den neuen Garmins.

Ich finde die Openfietsmap absolut grauslich und untauglich. In der Sonne erkennt man da nichts mehr, und der Kontrast am GPS ist viel zu gering. Klar auf den ersten Blick mögen die schöner sein, aber wennst mal ein paar Stunden damit im Vergleich gearbeitet hast, wird dich das grün in grün ordentlich stören.
Daher hab ich ja auch das eigene PC-Layout mit geringerem Kontrast, welches am Desktop deutlich angenehmer ist, am GPS aber deutlich ungeeigneter.
wenn ich mir die mapfiles Europe runterladen will, kommt immer nur eine weiße Seite.

Du meinst die .7z Datei? Evtl anderen Browser versuchen (Firefox/Chrome)..

so richtig habe ich das System deiner Seite wohl noch nicht verstandten.
Vor ein paar Tagen hatte ich einen Beitrag eingestellt, es ging u.a. um Probleme beim Autorouting über Fähren.
Heute wollte mal schauen, ob Antworten vorhanden sind, finde aber den Beitrag garnicht.
Also 1. Wo und wie kann ich eine Frage stellen?
und 2. Wie finde ich diesen Beitrag wieder?

Kann mich gerade nicht an eine Frage bezüglich Fähren erinnern. Evtl nicht abgeschickt? Da es sich um Autorouting handelt, am besten unter Autorouting. Du solltest eine email bekommen bei Antworten.
Ganz evtl ist die Frage beim Server Wechsel verschwunden, aber da sollte im Prinzip nichts passiert sein, weil die Datenbank direkt gewechselt ist.
